With reference to your letter No.4039/12 of the
16th ultimo respecting the application of the Mitsui Bussan
Kaisha for the lease of a site for a coal depot at Hong Kong,
I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to
acquaint you, for the information of the Secretary of State
for the Colonies, that the site applied for, viz. North Point,
being on the Island itself, increases the objection to such
a lease mentioned in Admiralty letter of the 13th April 1911,
but that they do not consider that this objection is a sufficient reason to prevent the lease being granted subject to the conditions referred to by the Governor in his telegram
of the 8th February.
The Under Secretary of State,
Colonial Office.
L.P.--No. 8.

I am,
Sir,
Your obedient Servant,
O. Munay.
